Hector Ramos Memorial Endowment

Hector Ramos, a graduate of East Aurora High School and Archbishop Romero Catholic School, was killed in action while serving in the US Marine Corp in Iraq on January 26, 2005. An endowment fund has been established in Hector’s name through the Catholic Foundation for the People of the Diocese of Rockford. The Fund has been established to provide scholarship and tuition assistance. The earnings from the endowment fund will be made available to eligible students to enable them to pursue their American dreams as Hector did. Hector dreamed of attending college, pursuing a career in art, acting or law enforcement and raising a family. A Catholic education can provide the foundation needed for performing truly worthy deeds, “For there is no greater love than this; to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13)
