United in Faith - Catholic Schools Endowment
Through this endowment, The Diocese of Rockford will enhance its partnership with parents, parishioners, alumni and other friends in financially supporting current and future Catholic elementary schools and the Diocesan Central Catholic High Schools. In order that diocesan Catholic schools can address local requirements, earnings from this endowment may be used for various purposes identified by pastors, educational leaders and/or school boards. Examples of how earnings might be used include: Local School Endowment Investments; Tuition Assistance; Teacher Salary Increases; Staff Development; Curriculum Enhancements; Operating Expenses; and Capital Improvements. In the unlikely event that any of the ministerial needs outlined in this purpose statement cease to exist, or that funding for these needs becomes great enough that no additional funding is necessary, the Diocesan Finance Council and the Diocesan College of Consultors will make recommendations to the Bishop regarding the use of continued endowment earnings.

United in Faith - Needy Parish/School Endowment
This endowment is established to be a source of last resort which will provide assistance to needy and struggling parishes and schools in The Diocese of Rockford so that they may address: Overwhelming debt; Necessary capital projects; and Tuition assistance. In the unlikely event that any of the ministerial needs outlined in this purpose statement cease to exist, or that funding for these needs becomes great enough that no additional funding is necessary, the Diocesan Finance Council and the Diocesan College of Consultors will make recommendations to the Bishop regarding the use of continued endowment earnings.

United in Faith - Priest's Retirement Endowment
The annual earnings from this endowment will be added to the Rockford Diocese Priest Pension Fund to provide for modest increases to the current pension received by retired clergy. In the unlikely event that any of the ministerial needs outlined in this purpose statement cease to exist, or that funding for these needs becomes great enough that no additional funding is necessary, the United in Faith President-Appointed Committee will make recommendations to the Bishop regarding the use of continued endowment earnings.

United in Faith - Religious Education/Youth Ministry Endowment
An endowment is established for parish religious education and youth ministry. Its earnings will: Support ongoing training of Directors and/or Coordinators or Religious Education; Support opportunities for in-service for catechists or advance their certification; Supplement media and library resource materials; Furnish training and formation of lay ministers responsible for youth ministry; Enhance programs for adult faith formation and family religious education; and Provide coherent religious education programs. In the unlikely event that any of the ministerial needs outlined in this purpose statement cease to exist, or that funding for these needs becomes great enough that no additional funding is necessary, the Diocesan Finance Council and the Diocesan College of Consultors will make recommendations to the Bishop regarding the use of continued endowment earnings.

United in Faith - Seminarian/Priest Education Endowment
This endowment fund will provide for the theological education and necessary living expenses for seminarians committed to the Rockford Diocese. This endowment will also provide for tuition and living expenses for priests assigned to continue their professional educational development to meet critical needs of the diocese. In the unlikely event that any of the ministerial needs outlined in this purpose statement cease to exist, or that funding for these needs becomes great enough that no additional funding is necessary, the Diocesan Finance Council and the Diocesan College of Consultors will make recommendations to the Bishop regarding the use of continued endowment earnings.
